Remembering Frostbite {aka Frosty}

Yesterday we lost a beloved member of our family, our cat of almost 15 years…Frosty.

He had not been eating very well for almost a month…and was slowly going downhill. There was nothing wrong that the vet could find, so maybe it was just his time. He was almost 15. The last few days of his life he had been struggling, and at 4 am on January 11, 2018…he took his last breath. πŸ™ read more

It’s cookie time!

Can you believe Christmas is so close now? I love this time of year! I just wanted to do a quick post to share some photos. Every year we like to make Christmas cookies – all different kinds! Last night we made sugar cookies. To be totally honest, Jace and the girls made these cookies. {I made the frosting.} πŸ˜‰

Have a very Merry Christmas! πŸ˜€ read more

A little family fun!

Last night we got to go to a fun Fargo Force fan dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. The Fargo Force is our local hockey team, and they set up a “fan dinner” for the kids in the kids club. The kids who are part of the kids club are basically season ticket holders. So this dinner was provided for them {for free} and their family members.

We all sat in a sort of banquet room and had dinner with a few players from the team. There were also drawing for prizes like t-shirts and more. Jadyn actually had her name called to win a 10th Anniversary hockey puck with the team name on it. She was super excited! Right before they called her name, she saw the prize and said, “THAT would be cool!” So, it was pretty awesome that right after she said that, her name was called. πŸ™‚ read more

Today I am thankful for…. {11-9-17}

God given patience!
It’s definitely there when I need it most. Like today when I pulled the carpet cleaner out to clean my carpet in the living room area upstairs. I also had to clean the actual carpet cleaner itself, too. Something I did not want to do—-ugh….but I did it anyways. Why?! Because it needed it! If you have pets, you know how funky a carpet cleaner can get. Hair and fluff balls trapped inside….GROSS! Anyway….today I am thankful that I had the patience to do this without getting super irritated….{gagging and all!} HA HA! πŸ˜€

My Furbabies and their Vet appointments!

First up is Frosty. We have been concerned because he is barely eating anymore and has lost weight. I took him to the vet and we had a right to be concerned. He has dental disease and has lost weight as a result of it. He is only 10 lbs. So skinny! πŸ™

He was quite nervous at his checkup, but was a very good boy! read more

Parenting & Schooling: a Guide to Getting Them Both Right

Parenting and schooling are two things that rely on one another. Good parenting is impossible without good schooling. And good schooling is impossible without good parenting. So, you need to be aware of the importance of them both if you are going to succeed as a parent.

However, when most parents try to get this balancing act right, they simply run into hurdles and make a mess of it. That’s not what you want to happen to you too. Luckily, we’re going to talk about some of the most pressing issues and where the overlap between parenting and schooling occurs. read more

Our mini {2 day} getaway to the twin cities!

A couple of weeks ago we went out of town for a little mini getaway. The local football team that my hubby Jace works with had a game out of town, about 3 1/2 hours away, so we decided we would make it a little family trip. We left on a Saturday and returned on Monday evening.

Here are just a few pics of where we went and what we did! Notice the food pics? Ha! It’s always fun eating at places that are new to you. Places that you don’t have where you live. πŸ˜€ read more
