DIY Dishwasher Detergent

Homemade Dishwaher Detergent

This was a “recipe” that I was super excited to try! Once I saw this on Pinterest, and saw how easy it was, I definitely had to give it a go.

I repinned it from THIS site…and followed the instructions exactly. I’ve seen other recipes that call for Kosher salt, but I didn’t have any on hand.
I cannot tell you just how pleased I am with this dishwasher detergent. It cleans better than I thought. I mean, it is awesome! The only thing I skipped was adding the vinegar, but that was only because I still had a full compartment of Oxiclean rinse agent. (which by the way is excellent!) When it runs out, I’ll be trying the vinegar, too. (It acts as a rinse agent) πŸ˜€

Its fun knowing that I can save money by making this myself. I already had the ingredients on hand. Even if you have to go out and buy the ingredients, you are still saving money—considering how much dishwasher detergent costs these days.

Just to show you, this glass was washed with the DIY recipe. Look how clean and spotless it is! πŸ™‚

I am super excited about this recipe, love how it works, and don’t see myself buying it anymore at the store. πŸ˜‰
