Health and Fitness-Being accountable

So in the past month, I have really changed my eating habits. I have started exercising a heck of a lot more, and have added Pilates and Yoga into my routines. I am feeling great! I have lost about 5 pounds. I also feel a lot stronger. {Thank you Chaturanga Dandasana for that!} ๐Ÿ˜€ My flexibility is increasing as well.
I have a fitness planner where I keep track of my eating habits, and my exercises as well as progress photos and notes/journal entries on how I may be feeling on a particular day. My fitness planner is the Happy Planner Fitness Planner. I like it because it is very motivating with pictures and quotes throughout, and I can also track my steps and water intake.

Here is a pic of the boxed kit I bought.

I guess I also kind of want to document it via my blog, at least once a week. So you will being seeing updates here and there.

I used to think it was so weird to write down every thing you ate. Ha! Now I can see why it is important. For me, I want to look back and see how I ate, what I had for snacks and what/if I need to change. Also, it makes you want to eat better because you know you have to write it down-LOL!

I have been eating clean for the most part, and making better food choices {and for my family as well.}

So here is a list of the things I haven’t had in over a month:

1. Powdered coffee mate
Honestly, most of my tummy issues went away when I quit this stuff. {I can’t believe that I ever used that stuff.} I have switched to using natural creamers like coconut milk or almond milk. I have found that I enjoy my coffee so much more as well!

2. Candy
No sour gummy worms for me. {I love those!} The only thing that I have had that is sweet and sort of like candy are the all natural honey spoons I occasionally have with my chamomile lavender tea. ๐Ÿ™‚
Sugar and sweets have always been something that I loved. I think with making better choices and eating lots of fruits, my body isn’t craving the junk food like it used to.

3. Cookies, cakes, etc… NADA! none of that!

4. Ice cream! Oh, how I love thee. I haven’t had any though. I did have frozen yogurt once at Tutti Frutti as a treat to myself.

5. Soda I really only ever had diet soda on occasion. Like literally once a week. It has never been a problem for me. Now, if I feel like I want something other than plain water, I’ll drink coconut water or a healthier, natural drink. Still, mostly water for me. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I know there are other things that I haven’t had, that are escaping my train of thought right now…but you get the gist of it. Clean eating, lots of water, and exercise.

My advice to anyone who wants to change their eating habits, and live a healthier life is to just start. One step at a time. You will get there. Stay motivated, and focused on your goal. Mind over matter.

For me, I have really prayed about it, and really just put my mind {and body} to it. You can too! ๐Ÿ™‚

In my next post, I’ll share some photos of my fitness journal . ๐Ÿ™‚
