Home Depot Kids Workshop!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Home Depot. I am very excited to be working with the Home Depot. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine.

When planning our Butterfly Island project, we took advantage of the free kids workshop offered by The Home Depot. They have a workshop for kids on the first Saturday of every month. Each month they have a new and exciting project for kids. One that kids would love and isn’t too difficult for them to do. I knew my girls would love going to these, so my hubby, Jace & I took them to their very first ever Home Depot kids workshop. They had lots of fun, and we will definitely be going every month!

So on this day, the project was making your own Herb Planter. There were a lot of families there. More people than I thought would be there. This is a popular thing! 😉
When we arrived, we signed in, the girls got their supplies and an apron to wear….along with a project pin to wear on their apron. What’s really neat is that for every workshop they attend, they get a pin to add to their apron. The girls really got into this project. They LOVE painting! The project was pretty simple and the end result was very cute! Here are some photos from their fun morning!

The end result! We are ready to plant! We just have to grab some miracle gro potting mix, some seeds–and we are ready to go!

It was a fun time for all of us….and as for the Butterfly Island project we completed..we are loving it! My girls and I are always outside looking for butterflies and watching the birds enjoy it as well. We added a couple of ornamental things to the island as well. A treasure jar that we made and a butterfly ornament that glows in the dark.
