My try at Industrial Strength Bubbles! {pictures}

Have you seen the recipes for those Industrial Strength Bubbles floating around out there? {Get it? Floating..haha!} πŸ˜‰
I found a recipe on Pinterest and knew that I definitely wanted to give it a try. My girls love blowing bubbles. I do, too. I mean, who doesn’t love bubbles?

This recipe called for 6 cups of water, 1 cup of corn syrup and 2 cups of regular strength Joy dish soap.
I could not find Joy dish soap anywhere, so I bought a different brand. I also realized that I bought ultra dish soap and had to tweak the recipe a bit. I ended up adding more corn syrup to the mix.

Here we go!

The mixture was pretty thick and sticky…but it produced some really great bubbles!

The verdict:

The bubbles were fantastic and they were a lot of fun, but they weren’t virtually un-poppable like I’ve read. Although you could tell they were a bit of a thicker bubble. They also made a sticky mess due to the corn syrup. I rinsed of our porch and sidewalk pretty good after we were done.

I’d say they were a hit! My girls were outside for quite a long time playing with them. πŸ™‚

Have you tried this recipe, or one like it?

    We made these last summer and it was my favorite thing we did all year. I want to try your recipe as I don’t think ours were industrial strength!
