Have you seen the recipes for those Industrial Strength Bubbles floating around out there? {Get it? Floating..haha!} π
I found a recipe on Pinterest and knew that I definitely wanted to give it a try. My girls love blowing bubbles. I do, too. I mean, who doesn’t love bubbles?
This recipe called for 6 cups of water, 1 cup of corn syrup and 2 cups of regular strength Joy dish soap.
I could not find Joy dish soap anywhere, so I bought a different brand. I also realized that I bought ultra dish soap and had to tweak the recipe a bit. I ended up adding more corn syrup to the mix.
The mixture was pretty thick and sticky…but it produced some really great bubbles!
The verdict:
The bubbles were fantastic and they were a lot of fun, but they weren’t virtually un-poppable like I’ve read. Although you could tell they were a bit of a thicker bubble. They also made a sticky mess due to the corn syrup. I rinsed of our porch and sidewalk pretty good after we were done.
I’d say they were a hit! My girls were outside for quite a long time playing with them. π
Have you tried this recipe, or one like it?
My kids would have a field day with those huge bubbles! How fun π
Oh this is so cool. My daughter loved blowing bubbles when she was a tot, but like you said, what kid doesn’t??
Oh my gosh, we love bubbles and yes, we have done these huge ones before! SO much fun!
Those giant bubbles look awesome. What a great way to spend the day.

Kids and bubbles are a summer sight, aren’t they?
Those are some nice bubbles! My kids would love this, the only down fall is the mess!
We made these last summer and it was my favorite thing we did all year. I want to try your recipe as I don’t think ours were industrial strength!
Oh boy that looks fun, I need to do that with my kids this summer!
such a beautiful bubbles, my son would definitely love this since he’s in love with bubbles too.
I haven’t tried to make my own bubbles before. But I have a lot of bubble makers so I should.
Now that is my kind of fun right there. I’ll have to get in on some bubble action myself!
Bubbles are so fun in summer!
