I participated in a campaign for the Girl Scouts of America via “Mom It Forward” and received compensation and a promotional item in exchange for this blog post. However, all views and opinions stated in this post are honest, and are mine.
Do you know someone that is in Girl Scouts? Were you in Girl Scouts? Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character. Who doesn’t want that for their girl? I have 2 girls, and I want them to grow up to be courageous, kind, and have good character–among other things. We all want our children to succeed in life, and Girl Scouting sets them in the right direction-teaching them important life skills.
Juliette Gordon Low, founder of Girl Scouts of the USA, was born on October 31, 1860, in Savannah, Georgia. I am from Savannah, and have passed by her home there many times. I’ve heard a lot about her while I was growing up. She started something wonderful many years ago, that to this day is going strong.
This coming weekend is National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend. Yay, it’s here!
Did you know that selling cookies teaches girls to set goals? It helps them to make decisions, manage money, and helps them to develop people and business skills that are essential to leadership and success in their life. It’s also lots of fun, I’m sure! 😉 We always look forward to the time when Girl Scout cookies are on sale. Who doesn’t love Girl Scout cookies? I always look forward to them, and always make sure that we always order plenty!
Get your cookies this weekend, and come and get ready to join the largest virtual Girl Scout cookie party for the opportunity to win a year’s supply of your favorite Girl Scout cookie! The party starts February 5th! I can hardly wait! 😀
What are your favorite Girl Scout cookies? My favorites are Savannah Smiles, Samoas, and Thin Mints! Yummy!
