It is hard to believe that my baby girl is turning 4! She’s gone from my cute little chubby cheeked angel to my smart, bright & beautiful big girl! She is really just a ray of sunshine that lights up a room. We love her so much! read more

Spring & Birthdays & stuff!

Is Spring almost here in North Dakota? It is–and I hope it stays (no more snow!)
It has been in the high 50’s and 60’s, and this weekend it will be above 70. I am ecstatic! Don’t get me wrong, I love snow, but I am really ready for spring & all it brings! I think we are ALL ready to pack away the winter coats. 😉 read more

Love it in Texas

Thanks to Darwin Barton

I love it here in Texas but I have to be honest and say I wasn’t planning on moving here long term. I thought about it long and hard and though things can get really out of hand sometimes I think that it’s the right thing for me to put down roots and not worry too much about acting too fast or whatever. I’ve been looking at houses in my neighborhood to buy with my boyfriend as he really likes it here, too, and I think it could be a good investment. I’ve got the Power to Choose in Texas when it comes to utilities which I think is really cool and I even think I’m going to be able to get a steal when it come to the actual house. One of these days I’m going to get antsy and want to move again but hopefully owning a house will slow me down a little bit, you know what I mean?

Organize it-with Clipix!

Recently I came across this really interesting site called clipix. If it’s about organization, then I am ALL over it. Anything that can make my life easier and more organized, it’s for me! Clipix is that!

So, let me tell you a little about it. It is like a virtual clipboard. Want to save all of those cool gift ideas you’ve found in one spot? Add them to your board via the “Clip” button. Drag the “Clip” button to your bookmarks toolbar and voila! You can now add items to save to your boards just by clicking that button. You can create multiple boards for all sorts of things. A board for favorite hairstyles you’ve found online, a board for all of your favorite shoes, gift ideas, comparisons, anything you can think of. It is SO easy to do and lots of fun too. read more

The most creative themes for Easter baskets

There are many enjoyable things about any of the holidays that are celebrated. It is a chance to get together with family and friends and celebrate the time that you are able to spend together. One of the chief complaints among many different families is that everyone is too busy to spend time together. We often let things like work and school get in the way of the obligation that we have to spend the quality time that is necessary in order to foster strong relationships and bonds with the ones that we love.

One of the holidays that is a great time for being creative is the Easter holiday. This is a day that is full of spiritual meaning for most people, but it is also a time that families can use to do things together, and to have fun. One of the most fun things to do with the family that is a staple to the holiday is the traditional Easter egg hunt. These events are usually put on annually, and they are put together usually by families, or even by the local communities in order to set up family friendly activities in order to encourage families to be together. read more
