My girls are really hands-on type of girls. They love creating things! {Just like their mama!} πŸ˜‰
When I learned I would get the chance to review this Sunshine Loom Rainbow Craft Kit, I was excited! We have a Rainbow Loom at home, and we love it, but when I saw this one, I was intrigued. It is round!

Rainy Day fun for kids!

Summer vacation is here, and we have been quite busy! There are lots of things to do and places to go. However, when it is pouring rain outside, what do you do? Well, I have come up with a list of fun ideas to do at home with your kids. Some of these you may have done, and some may be new to you, but they are all fun! Here goes!

1) Camp out! Grab your sleeping bags and do some indoor camping. Pretend you have a campfire and are “roasting” marshmallows. Maybe watch a fun movie while camping out! πŸ˜‰ read more

Addicted to decoupage!

I love to decoupage! That is probably an understatement. I actually look for things around the house (and at the thrift store) that I can decoupage. πŸ˜‰

Here are 3 things that I’ve decoupaged recently. Nothing too crazy, just items here and there…… read more

A fun tie blanket!

I’ve always wanted to try making a tie blanket. {Yes, I am late on this, haha!} They are super easy to make, and when I saw the kits on sale at Jo-Ann’s, I had to buy a couple! I mean, why not buy a kit, where the fabric is already pre-measured and cut? πŸ˜€

This one was for my oldest daughter, Jacey. She loves rainbow colors, bright colors, and stars. I thought this would be perfect for her. πŸ˜‰ read more

Beads galore!

So I wanted to try something new with the beads that I have. I have lots of beads of different types, usually used to make jewelry either for myself or my girls. From new to old….

I finally found the antiquing glaze I was looking for, after checking like 4 or 5 stores! In Menards, they had no idea what I was talking about (weird!), and our Walmart stores don’t carry it. I found it at Lowe’s. Anyway…I had 2 angel figurines that I found at Dollar Tree awhile back. They were completely white, so I thought they would be perfect for my little project. Being as white as they were, you could really see no detail at all, and they just didn’t pop. They were pretty plain! But after the antiquing glaze, it gave it an aged effect. All of the details were accentuated. I love how it turned out!

Christmas in the air…

We have done lots of baking and decorating and crafts…and we’re still not done! Jacey just loves doing ANYTHING crafty, and Jadyn loves to participate as well. I think today we will make another batch of cookies. Not sure what kind yet. So far, we have made Christmas Tree cookies for preschool, Festive White Fudge, and colored rice crispy treats. πŸ˜€ We’ve also made homemade Christmas ornaments out of salt-dough. They are always fun to do-and super easy to make!

On Friday the 18th, Jacey has her preschool Christmas program. We are so excited to go! I can hardly wait! I will definitely have camera and flip mino in hand. πŸ˜‰ We will be taking a plate of cookies, homemade of course, which we may do the day before. read more
