Fun Snow Days {even with just a little snow!}

We haven’t had a whole lot of snow here yet…but all my girls need is just a little bit. They have such creative imaginations, and always come up with something fun to do outside! Just wanted to share a few pics!

Playtime at the park!

Elmwood Park is a really nice park that is near our house, and it’s walking distance! Imagine our surprise the day we went and found something new there. A zipline {for kids, of course!} Well, I guess you would call it a zipline, right? You decide. πŸ˜‰

Rainy Day fun for kids!

Summer vacation is here, and we have been quite busy! There are lots of things to do and places to go. However, when it is pouring rain outside, what do you do? Well, I have come up with a list of fun ideas to do at home with your kids. Some of these you may have done, and some may be new to you, but they are all fun! Here goes!

1) Camp out! Grab your sleeping bags and do some indoor camping. Pretend you have a campfire and are “roasting” marshmallows. Maybe watch a fun movie while camping out! πŸ˜‰ read more

A total snow day!

Friday we had a fun filled day! Lots of sledding and playing in the snow! The weather was great. I believe the temps topped off at 38 degrees, so it was perfect weather for playing in the snow. πŸ˜‰

First, we went to a snow hill nearby and went sledding. The girls had a blast! Afterwards, we headed over to DQ for lunch and a treat. read more

Hot Summer Days {so hot!}

It was like 95 yesterday! It was crazy hot….hotter than it had been in the week before. The best plan for that day was taking a trip to the splash pad at Shadow Wood park. I got a text from a friend suggesting that we meet up and go (along with other friends too) since it was still open, weather permitting until mid September. (YAY!) That was definitely a plan! So we went. The girls had a blast cooling off in the water and playing with their friends, while I had some much needed adult conversation with mine. It was a good day! πŸ™‚

My youngest daughter and I recently got the opportunity to try out Little Passports. What is Little Passports? Think of it as a way for your kids to travel the world–from home. Learning about different countries, and having fun in the process! It’s a subscription package. Each month your child gets to go on a new adventure, and has a new country to learn about. πŸ™‚

A fun recipe…not to eat!

I’m thinking we will make some ornaments today! In 2005, we made salt dough ornaments, and they turned out so cute! We also made some with cinnamon as well, and they still smell good! πŸ˜€

I don’t remember the EXACT recipe, but I found these recipes online…they are pretty much the same as the ones we made back in 2005. Jacey is just about 3 1/2 now, so I’m thinking she will have lots of fun with this. When we last made these, she was only nearly 4 months old…lol! πŸ˜‰ read more
