Just over a week and a half ago, I went and volunteered at my girls’ school. This time it was in Jacey’s class. They were learning how to make bread in a bag. She was really excited about this, and wanted me to come and help. I have to say, it was a lot of fun {and a lot of work!} Ha! 😉

Jadyn is my 5 1/2 year old. We call her “Boo.” It’s always been her nickname. Boo or Boo-Boo! Just look at how she is excelling in school. By the way, she is the top reader in her class. She is in Kindergarten! 🙂

Today is Jadyn’s 1st day of Kindergarten. I sit here at my desk at 10:09 am, wondering what she is doing right now. I am having more of a hard time with this day than she is I am sure of it. She was so excited and so happy to be starting school. She was all smiles this morning at the bus stop with her friends. They were waiting for the bus, ready to go! I know she was really excited about riding a real school bus, too! I know she will have a great day, I just have to get used to the fact that my youngest is now a school goer. Both of my girls are in school, and my son is now a grown up {well, he has been for years}. *sigh* read more

Today is the last day of summer vacation for my oldest daughter, Jacey. She starts 3rd grade tomorrow. My youngest daughter, Jadyn starts kindergarten on Thursday. Can you believe how fast this summer went by? I can hardly believe it’s about gone already!

Later today, Jacey gets to meet her teacher at “Back to School night.” Tomorrow Jadyn has her assessment at school for Kindergarten. The ball is rolling…back to school is upon us! read more

My youngest daughter, Jadyn is starting Kindergarten this year, and it may be silly, but I am slightly worried about her hair – just because it is SO long! She does NOT want a hair cut, and I partly agree, because her hair is just so pretty. It’s just so long too! I don’t want it to get glue in it at school, or accidentally cut (I would die!)…etc… So of course her hair will need extra attention every morning so that I can fix it up before school. {When her older sister, Jacey started Kindergarten, her hair wasn’t nearly as long as Jadyn’s is now.}

As for my oldest daughter, she not so long ago got her hair cut right below her chin…just at her shoulders. Super cute, I might add! It was only her 2nd hair cut in her life! Her first hair cut, she got 11 inches cut off, and all of those beautiful curls went right with it. :/ Yep, those cute ringlets were gone. After she got used to have a shorter style, she decided she wanted to go shorter. That’s when we got it cut at the shoulders. I do miss her curls, but this style is very cute on her. (and MUCH easier to take care of!) 🙂 read more

I can hardly believe that the school year is almost over! Jacey will be turning 6 on July 1st, and I can hardly believe that either! :-S

Wow, the day has come! My little girl is now a big girl! She started Kindergarten this morning, and she was so excited. She was eager & ready to go! 🙂
I am excited for her, but at the same time, sad that that my baby girl is growing up so fast.

This morning, we took her to school, and I will pick her up after school. She has expressed interest in riding the bus, so maybe we’ll start letting her. The bus stop is pretty much right outside of our house. I’m a little nervous about it, but I realize that I need to let go just a teensy bit. read more

It has been nearly 5 years since my little girl Jacey was born. This is the year she starts Kindergarten and I am a little sad and excited at the same time. Sad that she is growing up so fast-I wish she would slow down a little…LOL. Excited because she loves to learn and make friends-and I know she will enjoy Kindergarten so much! 🙂 I am excited that she is so excited!
This past Wednesday evening-I went and got her preregistered. Registration is in the summer, this was just a time to get the paperwork filled out-and submit things like her birth certificate and immunization records. Preregistration lasted just under an hour-as we also watched a video-and got to get ourselves familiar with some of the staff at the school. Things are a little different here. I though Jacey would attend Kindergarten at the Elementary school, but instead-she will attend at the Kindergarten Center. A school just for Kindergarten. Kindergarten is separate from Elementary here. Something I didn’t know-and only just found out at preregistration. (Which is totally fine by me!) 😉

So in the upcoming months before Kindergarten starts, it will be in the back of my mind at all times-that this is THE year! My baby girl will start school in the fall. Time surely flies.
